Hi! I've been able to install the skill and native app on an old Windows 7 32 Bit machine and I've been able to run the basic browser commands (open tab etc.) I was hoping someone could help me create a script that launches an application when Alexa hears a phrase?

Basically, my local machine is a Plex server but Plex Media Server regularly crashes. My GF/children don't know how to open the computer to relaunch the application. I was hoping to generate a phrase that Alexa would hear and then send a command to Vicki to launch another version on the machine?

Is this doable? How would I go about doing this?!

I'm having a problem with your alexa skill "Vicki | control my computer".
I followed the steps from your site "http://heyvicki.net/", but when I say any command to Alexa, like "Alexa, ask web browser to browse amazon", she replies by saying that she's having trouble accessing Vicki skill.

Do you know what might be causing this?

Using the invocation "web browser" seems unnatural for a lot of the things that Vicki can do. Would it be possible to change the invocation word to something like "Vicki computer" or "Vicki computer_name" or just leave it fully configurable by the user?

Anyway, great work on the skill.

when connecting Vicki login works at first but after installing extensions login fails. trying to use extension it says login with amazon. when you go to login it brins you to the page where you click allow then when you click allow it it says "Internal Server Error" and wont work.

When you ask Alexa to ask web browser to do a command Alexa prompts "Couldn't find your browsers, check if it is running."

Whenever I say "Alexa, ask web browser to set my preferred vicki", Alexa responds with "You have multiple vickis connected please ....". How can i fix this and how can i remove my multiple vickis

when i command for example "ask web browser to browse amazon" then it replies....sorry i am having trouble accesing vicky|control my computer skill. (THIS SKILL IS NOT WORKING FOR ME)...the same thing i reported at amazon....but they didnt understood it...plz fix this issue

When alexa is asked to open youtube she then asks what would you like to search for. Would it be possible to add a question from alexa "would you like to cast this" if yes then either list the devices or simply ask which tv to cast to.
I think this will be very useful as the biggest reason for using vicki is to control a pc remotely.

New user. Seemed to install fine and my echo can talk to it, but saying 'ask web browser to open bookmark "s. s. quiet"' fails every time, with echo replying, "'Vicki can't interact with focused tab, try focusing on a different tab'. Manually clicking that bookmark works fine (it's in my bookmarks bar). I've tried different bookmark names. I've tried a new chrome window with only one page, tried new tab on the first page, etc. The Vicki icon message says, 'We last heard: "open bookmark s. s. quiet"' then 'Failed because Error while executing script'. Is there anything else I can try before giving up trying to use Vicki?

I do a lot of research. Is there a way to bookmark the current tab? I realize it would save it to the last bookmarked folder just like hitting the "star" in the address bar.

When I go to heyvicki.net and click on "install native addon", all it seems to do is take me to the top of the page. What am I doing wrong?

I can use hey vicki to control the browser on my laptop with my facebook portal. I cannot seem to control the built-in browser on the portal, which keeps the portal from being an excellent device.
