Introduction

This is an interactive website that is meant to demonstrate an understanding of object-oriented programming, test-driven development, class interaction, and working with an API.

Setup

Fork and/or clone repo, open index.html in browser

Features

Customers login by user ID and password

Upon logging in, customers can view their dashboard of past and future/current bookings (if they have any)

Other customers can log in

Customers can search for bookings by date, filter bookings by room type, and POST a booking of their choice

Site features an about page that gives brief description of hotel

Manager can login and access manager dashboard that shows a list of all users, the current day's bookings, and occupancy percentage
Manager can search for user by name and POST bookings for user for a selected date
Booking a room for a user will update all analytics on dashboard

Manager can DELETE bookings, which updates all analytics on dashboard

Site is responsive for both customer and manager dashboards

Site is designed with accessibility in mind, passing the dev console lighthouse audit with 100% score

Future Additions

Add dark mode functionality so that when a user clicks an indicated button, the site's palette shifts.
Add dark mode functionality to detect a user's light/dark mode preference and adjust automatically
Incorporate hamburger menu button functionality when window is resized for mobile screens
