Log watcher date change

Handle day change
when day changes kill new window, reopen with a new one

Add support for different versions of visual studio

Currently card coded to VS 2015 Community.

Do something like this in Invoke-VisualStudio

Set-SystemInit Add %DEV%

Create folder and env var for c:\dev

New-Shortcut Add Pin functionality

Add functionality to let shortcuts be pinned to Start/Taskbar.

Currently not available in Windows 10.

Create Start-DevEnv

A script to:

• Start SQL Server services (if not running)
• Start Visual Studio
• Wait for Visual Studio to close
• Prompt to stop SQL Server services

Create Set-SystemInit

A script to be run on initial set up of the machine.

Will set env vars, create shortcuts, mount network shares etc.

Event Log rotation

Create a Scheduled Task to export and clear log files.

Perhaps back them up to OneDrive?

Write-Output colour extension

Write-Output doesn't support colours like Write-Host does.

quick function to change window title

Start log tailing pswindow

For VS startup script -

• add a new powershell window which tails orchard log file for today.
• periodically query app_data folder for file creation (may not exist yet).
• name window after log file.

log filenames are: orchard-[error|debug]-yyyy-mm-dd.log.

Log file tailing - shut down windows when cleaning up dev env

Add token to title for log file tailing. When VS is shut down part of the teardown should close the log file tailing windows.

Create New-UserEnvironmentalVariable

Creates a persistent env var if one does not exist.
Type must be ExpandString to expand any env var included in the value.

Create New-Shortcut

Cmdlet to create a shortcut.

Allow for visual studio restart

Currently when vs process exits stop-service is called immediately.

change this to ask whether user wants to restart vs or shut down environment.

Log watcher - move to visual studio macro

Since log watcher is for orchard only projects, run it from VS post-build

Log watcher - shortcut creation

Prompt user for project name, add to shortcut and pin to start menu

Perhaps work out pinning to task bar.

Refine log file watcher

• Open window for debug and error logs
• Add prompt during start up for which orchard project (Orchard/Uqcc etc)
  • perhaps list directories and allow user to choose?

Log watcher - colour scheme

Change the colour scheme to match debugging messages and error messages.
Configure font and window size.

Init user profile

Generate user profile script and folder for cmdlet dump.
