Http4s is a minimal, idiomatic Scala interface for HTTP services. Http4s is Scala's answer to Ruby's Rack, Python's WSGI, Haskell's WAI, and Java's Servlets.

If you run into any difficulties please enable partial unification in your build.sbt (not needed for Scala 2.13 and beyond, because Scala 2.13.0+ has partial unification switched on by default)

Requirements

Running the blaze backend requires a modern, supported version of the JVM to build and run, as it relies on server APIs unavailable before JDK8u252. Any JDK newer than JDK8u252, including 9+ is supported.

http4s_demo's Issues

Does route support regex? Also how to match path input with Int or Long?

I am looking for an example of regex path and also how to constraint the url string to be of Long type for id. The regex would be used to further check authorization and redirect to log user in. Thank you for any pointer.

Can you show how to add Twirl to the mix?

This is closed as the following is added to the project

and everything is working correctly.

Add Scala.js via sbt-web

How to setup SSL authentication to resources?

It would be useful to have sample of ssl enabled authentication to http services as well. I have looked at Blaze http sample code but I am not quite sure if it would be the same a layer up. Thanks for your help.

How to reference static js files from Twirl generated page?

I could not find any doc or example in how to reference static local files like js. It would be great if this is in the demo as well. Thanks for your help.

How to decode json using json4s?

I tried to switched out Argonaut and use json4s instead. I get an error with decoder declaration.

from the call req.decode[Obj] in the method POST,

Error:(37, 57) not enough arguments for method jsonOf: (implicit reader: org.json4s.Reader[Obj])org.http4s.EntityDecoder[Obj].
Unspecified value parameter reader.
implicit val objDecoder: EntityDecoder[Band] = jsonOf[Obj]

How do I satisfy the implicit reader for the function call? I checked up json4s doc and I do not see that being discussed. So I am not sure how this is intended with http4s. Thanks for your help.
