tabbed-hjc's Issues

SHOWHIDDEN error

Hey, I'm migrating from reddit to report the output of the commands that you asked me to do. The first one's (i.e. cwin="$(xwininfo -children -id $1 | grep '^ 0x' | sed -e 's@^ *\(0x[0-9a-f]*\) "\([^"]*\)".*@\1 \2@')" echo $cwin ' output was: xwininfo: error: -id requires argument`
The other command outputted nothing.

[SOLVED] Issues related with porting code from `tabbed-hjc` to my build of `tabbed-flexipatch` (HARD TO REPRODUCE)

Here's a weird issue with my tabbed build

I'm currently needing help as I was stumbling with adding additional functionality with tabbed-flexipatch, which is porting the code from tabbed-hjc that enables have i3-like tabbing features without the need to change layouts, which could be helpful in some occurrences.

The issue is that the build's ATTACHALL function would not work under these scenarios:

  1. When the shortcut was run only with the st window (i had to guess this is related from eww and nemo-desktop
After that, all single tabbed sessions will launch with the error

Weirdly enough, here's the workarounds:

  1. Removing -c arg to tabbed
  2. Launching two tabbed sessions and do the shortcut (in my case, Ctrl-Shift-G)
  3. Copy and pasting the code from tabbed-hjc to my build and recompiling it
  4. Do the shortcut if anything but st is on tabbed (like Firefox)

I'm using openSUSE Tumbleweed, which might help if the bug couldn't be reproduced under something like Debian.

I spent time debugging it myself but couldn't find the culprit. If you're interested in checking the problem, here's my repo's tabbed build.
