What about me? 🧍‍♂

I am a young developer living in Belgium. I am passionate of IT, which you can quickly understand if you google-search me: I maintain a personal blog about IT and try to have a strong presence in the open-source world.

I like to talk with end users to understand their needs, and tailor the solution to resolve their problems. I believe that it is necessary to understand the domain and expertise for which we work in order to make a digital solution that is useful and reliable.

On my spare time I enjoy helping others understand concepts, learn new things or build up their ideas. I also do some sports like cycling 🚴‍♂ or going to the gym 🏋‍♂. I am trying to be a good cook 👨‍🍳 because I absolutely love eating. Hope we’ll get to know each other around a meal!!

I am a member of a few organizations that I want to help. Most of my time is spent on projects from Blargbot and Section IG.

Whether it is for various organizations or for myself, I like to develop stuff. Here is a sample of my works:

• Reach The Levels, a website-based application to motivate people to finish projects by gaining points and utilizing those to get rewards.
• DoOld, an edited clone of Doodle but the old fashion way: just book days and not time slots!
• DataDrop, a tailored Discord bot for servers made by/for students of the Henallux (a v2 is on its way!).
• AnimesList, a small anime website for personal use.
• Local Recipes, a small recipes website for personal use.
• and more like discord-server-generator, discord-selfrole, discord-temp-channels, discord-mailbox, ... !

Issues

• Company Model does not reference a Zoning object : /model/Company.java

• Zoning popup has a field "nbImplent" which should refer to the number of settlements (implantations with a small A instead of a small E by the way) in the zoning. That string does not change anywhere : see more in res/layout/zoning_popup.xml

• Empty overridden methods : /features/recyclerView/RecyclerItemClickListener.java

• Menu options broken :

  • Map (leads to an app crash)
  • Search (leads to nothing)
  • Settings (leads to nothing)

Features and improvements

• Should not a Company have a Coordinate object referenced ? Otherwise how will we point out companies on the map?

• Search button's hitbox for the Zoning list and the Company list is too narrowed. It looks like it's limited to the picture boundaries only (orange square, image 1). Could maybe be made to take place on the whole screen width?
  Or maybe you could move the button to the navbar (red square, image 1) and make it so when you click on it, the input is opened at the current place it is (blue rectangle, image 2)?
  
  

We would end up with something like this if the search button has been selected :

• Source files has log and register management but the app doesn't refer them actually. When is it planned ?

• "Log out" button added to the Drawer Menu

• Easter egg on the "Log in" page
