pluggable-hcs's Introduction

Pluggable Hedera Consensus Service

The Pluggable HCS Lab demonstrates the ability of a Hyperledger Fabric network to connect to the Hedera Consensus Service running on a publicly accessible testnet. Please refer to README on how to run the Build Your First Network (BYFN) Hyperledger Fabric network sample.

pluggable-hcs's Issues

Direct peer <-> HCS communication

  • Allow peers to collect endorsements and submit transactions as consensus messages using HCS
  • Allow peers to receive consensus responses directly from mirror node, create blocks, and propagate blocks vis peer-to-peer gossips

Support for Private Data feature in Fabric

Fabric supports private data collection which allows a defined subset of organizations on a channel the ability to endorse, commit, or query private data without having to create a separate channel.

Changes to the HCS orderer may not be needed to support the feature so verification is the first step.

Test performance with kabuto mirror node

Run the caliper benchmark tests with hedera performance net and kabuto mirror node, compare the performance with the same tests using hedera performance net and hedera mirror node.
