Anyway to add functionality to delete unwanted measurements?

Through WebRTC it's possible to capturing an image. This would allow a phone or webbrowser on a PC to capture an image through the camera (when available).

This is a great example of how you can implement a drag-and-drop behavior for photo's to take measurements from:

It's always best to have a large drop area which responds as you hover over it.

Hi @hzeller this is a great tool! Did you know that there's a community that's very interested in using your tool for a really wonderful purpose. Lots of children are born with a partial hand (a palm but no fingers). For most of them a prosthetic device is too costly, especially given that they quickly outgrow it. A 3D printable version can be made for under $50.

The enablingthefuture.org community is providing 3D printable design files, 3D printing services and lots of tips and tricks.
Image based information retrieval tools can be important for this, e.g. see this tutorial:

Anyway, a feature that I'd like to see (if you don't have the time to develop it, someone else might) is the ability to scale the image down (like a zoom out). If you have a high-res photo the scaling isn't great to see the 'bigger picture'...
