i2p-browser's Issues

Some ideas and questions

-Typing in search bar connects to outproxy automatically (assuming it's up), replace DuckDuckGo search text with "Search DuckDuckGo over [name of outproxy] I2P Outproxy Service"
-Better about:i2p UI (I can help with that if you know where in the source code that HTML is) and auto-opens Router Console Home Page in a new tab regardless of if I2P is running
-A selection of I2P-themed browser themes available by default (I can help with that)
-Replacing all mentions of Tor and Onions with I2P and eepsites

Also, how does new identity feature work?

macosx download link broken. appends `/macosx/` recursively

I want to get one of these:

  • brave.app configured to use http proxy for i2p
  • Tor fork that includes i2p

In both cases, I get blocked by a redirect as follows.

I don't see a support topic in the forum at https://download.i2p2.de, so I am posting here.

Current default port of proxy configuration is pre-configured as 14444 instead of 4444?

Thanks @mikalv for building this all-in-one I2P browser bundle, I would make it easier for non-techical users to use I2P.

I tried the latest version and recoginize that the default proxy port is set to 14444 instead of 4444, I am not sure if this is something caused by my MacOS but it was an easy fix for me, just changing the port back to 4444 and everything works normally.

Please have a look to see if this 14444 port is pre-configured in the bundle. Thank you!

[Packaging] Make i2p-browser & i2p available as flatpak packages on FlatHub

I would like to suggest on you to make i2p & all it's add-on (specially i2p-browser & i2p-bote) available as flatpak packages on FlatHub. This will make them available for almost all Linux users in convenient way. As you know, manual installation not recommended on Linux. Moreover, i2p not available in official repositories for many Linux distros like Fedora for example. On Fedora it is (i2p) available from a COPR repository which not supported officially from Fedora ......

Also, using i2p from Docker is advanced option .......

i2p is very good alternative to VPN & of higher security than TOR. Currently I'm using it through i2pd as flatpak package from FlatHub. But i2pd is only daemon without any add-on & all add-ons of i2p not compatible with i2pd.

i2p-bote over i2p network is of too higher security level than standard email over VPN ......

It will be very helpful if you make i2p, i2p-browser & all i2p add-ons (specially i2p-bote) & available as flatpak packages on FlatHub.

Please look to this request carefully .......

Thank you.
