Description

This script batch downloads and analyses the result of B.Tech students hosted on http://ctengg.amu.ac.in by reading student information from Attendance Excel files.

Handle wrong input file type

Handle the wrong input file type, i.e, other than Excel so that the script doesn't crash if it is loaded instead

Handle wrong index of input file

The number that is not in the List of input file give exception error. we should solve it.

Script fails on new URL syntax

Since the ctengg.amu.ac.in changed its URL syntax, the script is failing. Bug fix is relatively easy and PR are welcome

Fix result parsing order according to new table format

New table format for results requires some change in the parsing of HTML and saving in the excel file. Should require intermediate attention, but the bug is easy to fix

List files with input number for menu based interaction

Current Behaviour

Files are listed and user has to input the file name to load the result

Expected Behaviour

Files should be listed as numbered list and the ability to choose between these numbers should be given.
If there are no files in the directory, an error message should be shown

Add option to exit between state

The application does not give any option to exit between any state which is very user-unfriendly. We should fix it

Show warning if there are no files in Input directory

If the Input directory is empty, there should be a warning and the program should end

Make code compatible with python 2.7

Our logic doesn't use much of python3 features except file write operations and urllib. We should convert our code base to python 2 for more compatibility. Rather than that, better option would be to create a new branch for python 2 code entirely

Improve the inefficient code base

The current code base is very inefficient and non compliant with guidelines. Contributors may want to collaborate with each other to solve the issue together
