This repository contains all used files in ECON-770 exams at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The file 'baseball_exam_data.csv' contains data about National League baseball teams from 2013.
The file 'base_money.xlsx' contains the monthly U.S. monetary base as computed by the St. Louis Federal Reserve.
The file 'dane_housing_start.csv' contains the number of new private houses started per year in Dane County at Madison, WI.
The file 'covid.csv' contains data on covid tests in Wisconsin by county. Each observation in the data is a county-day. The data cover March 15, 2020 to November 16, 2020. The POS_NEW variable contains the day's new cases.
The file 'q2a.csv' contains data on the cumulative number of COVID cases in each county in Wisconsin. This file is created from 'covid.csv'.
The file 'wdi_e2.csv' contains data on real GDP and the working age population (15-64 years) for China and Japan from 1970 to 2019.
The file 'clubs.csv' contains data about four BIG10 schools. The file 'roster.csv' contains data about football players at four BIG10 schools.
The file '2021-02.csv' contains U.S. imports by 10-digit harmonized system code, by country, for February 2021. An observation (row of the data) is the imports of a good from a country in Feburary 2021. The variables of interest include:
- I_COMMODITY = The code that identifies the type of good. Example: 6505002590 is the code for "knitted hats."
- CTY_CODE = The code that identifies the exporting country. Example: 2010 is the code for "Mexico."
- GEN_VAL_MO = The value of imports of the good.
The file 'invest.csv' contains quarterly U.S. private nonresidentrial fixed investment (PNFI).
The file 'phil.xls' contains the U.S. unemployment rate and inflation rate.
The files 'pl.csv' and 'nval.csv' contain the price index and nominal value added by U.S. industries for 2010โ2020.
The file 'q2a_f21.csv' is constructed by merging 'pl.csv' and 'nval.csv' and computing real value added by industry by the following formula:
The file 'wdi_q4.csv' contains data on real GDP and the working age population (15-64 years) for China and Japan from 1970 to 2019.
