autotrace's Issues

Possibility to run on Musl Libc based systems

Just tried to install on my musl libc voidlinux system and installation fails. I did also try to install it on python's official alpine based (which is musl based too) docker image and get the same error.

So is there a way to get it running on musl systems?

Window readjustment

Hello, :)

I like the app, and the replay feature is quite useful.

Some quick suggestions for improvement after trying it for 2':

  1. On zsh and bash while running, if you press it prints a newline which messes up the output (pushes the bottom window buffers to the top) unless the top windows also continuously print output.
It might make sense to refresh on every key press instead of the user explicitly pressing "r" each time?

  2. From a usability point of view, it might be a good idea to use brighter colors on the top bottom help bar for the font. It took me a bit to see the keyboard shortcuts on my screen.

  3. Also from a usability point of view would it make sense to maybe truncate empty lines being continuously printed to not miss the actually valuable output? In the nmap examples you have, the "Starting Nmap ( https://nmap.org ) at ***** " line is immediately lost out of view because of printed newlines. Which forces the user to pause and scroll a lot to find output in some use cases.
