The Earth Object

The goal here is to make a single object that encompasses everything on earth. I'm confident the project will evolve as time goes on. It could turn into a game, a useful object for modeling global data or something unimaginable at this point.

This is a brand new repo. I'm hoping that this will be a useful exercise for early stage programmers.

Add Nation States to their Respective Continents

We want to add countries to each continent:

The Object is Not Displaying on the Main Page

Add Wikipedia Links to Each Continent

example:

"africa": {
  "wikipedia_link": "http://wiki.com/whatever"
}

Add Flags to Each Country

We want to add all the flags of each country in the world. They need to be sized consistently... I'm guessing 500px by 300px or something like that.

We want to add these as a folder with each continent in a separate file.

- assets
--flags
---africa
---northAmerica
---southAmerica
etc....

The path to each of these images should also be included in the object. For example:

africa: {
  angola: {
    flag: { /assets/flags/africa/angola.jpg }
  }
etc...

Convert This Static Site to a Node App

This is a big one.

Convert this simple static website into a functioning node application.

My guess is that we will want to deploy to Heroku.

Format and Beautify the Object

We need this cleaned up.

Add Wikipedia Links to Each Ocean

example:

arctic: {
  "wikipedia_link": "http://wiki.com/whatever"
}

Add a CSS framework

May I add a CSS framework that will:

• Add accessibility for light and dark mode
• Give a clean and snazzy look to the webpage

I can also add syntax highlights for the json object within its <pre> tag.
