Description
Analyze words that presidents have said in their State of the Union speeches. Select a president, choose a word, and evaluate results.
- Collocation Chart: The habitual juxtaposition of a particular word with another word or words with a frequency greater than chance.
- Frequency Chart: Frequency of a particular word by each year of a particular presidency.
- Total Chart: Total usage of a particular word throughout an entire presidency.

Extra
While not required to deliver a speech, every president since Woodrow Wilson has made at least one State of the Union report as a speech delivered before a joint session of Congress. Before that time, most presidents delivered the State of the Union as a written report.
