katip's Issues

Feature Request: Show timestamp of utterences.

Hi! I use this software all the time to transcribe voice recordings. I think it would be fabulous if Katip could prepend the audio timestamp (relative to beginning of recording minimally, also in date/time if available)

Keep up the great work :)

Preferences: select preferred languages

There should be a preferences where the user can choose preferred languages, otherwise the language selection popup will be overcrowded with languages never used.

Doesn't work on macOS Sonoma 14.5

I get this error when trying to transcribe anything:

Received an error while accessing com.apple.speech.localspeechrecognition service: Error Domain=kAFAssistantErrorDomain Code=1101 "(null)"

Try to estimate transcription duration...

The idea is to show an indeterminate progress during first transcription on a machine in a user account.
Then use the actual time needed to calculate a divider between audio-duration and transcription time it too.

On the second transcription, show a determinate progress indicator with a better timing.

Continue using each and every successful (un-canceled) transcription to refine that estimate.

Of course this will be valid only for this user on this account :)

Thus we need a "reset time estimate" in preferences...

Enable Language Selection

Currently, language selection is ignored and de-DE is used regardless of the language selected.
The application should honor user's language selection.
