@pvh said he'll try to work out better user experience than what we currently have.
text is appearing on top of the panel at this URL: https://github.com/remarkjs/remark/issues
Add a searchbox so we could explore tags or arbitrary input
Right now we capture block where the link was discovered and render it in in backlinks/siblinks. We should cap context size and put ellipses around the fragment with link when it's too large.
If the daemon isn't running / can't be reached / times out, we don't have a way of separating that from "no backlinks were found".
I think it would greatly improve overall experience and aid in backlink/siblink recognition. Should not be difficult, but will need db alteration.
Most problematic on wikipedia but also on local-first blog --- why not immediately query hover links instead of waiting for document ready?
With the inkandswitch/ksp#5 we can query ksp for similar resources to arbitrary text. We should implement feature similar to siblinks where instead of showing siblinks on link hovering we display related resources on selection.
As per @pvh:
fun fact, "javascript(void(0));" has a lot of siblinks
Hello,
I'm trying to find a screenshot of this Browser,
There is one somewhere?
Cheers!

Goals:
Right now we use 100% width for rendering those, which is not very readable. We should try responsive grid with multiple columns instead (flexbox grid).
I think we should take inspiration from twitter cards https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator
Solution: don't wait until final load to fetch backlinks, but do submit them later
I'm experimenting with using this from Firefox. Everything seems to work as expected but I get a warning in the browser console when loading the extension saying the following:
1587423663914 addons.webextension.<unknown> WARN Loading extension 'null': Reading manifest: Warning processing background.persistent: Event pages are not currently supported. This will run as a persistent background page.
Is the "persistent": false
line in manifest.json
important?
We discussed some options, and I think our best concept was to extract the text from the current block level item.
We should add a search field so you can enter input and query with it
As per discussion with @pvh it would be nice to have something along the lines of https://notes.andymatuschak.org/.
However we should start with something simpler like our current sidebar
Step 1: cleanup
Step 2: try inline-always-visible ‡
Step 3 option a: make double-dagger better
Step 3 option b: go back tool-tip and consider delayed hover-expansion in place
it's too bad there's no way to travel to the location of a backlink.
