Your tool for downloading the monstercat music libary on Windows.

The SoftThorn.Monstercat.Browser app (or SMB app for short) is my approach for downloading music from monstercat in a convenient way. It is also my playground for trying our different XAML frontends in my spare time.

Build Requirements

This app uses SDK-style project files, which means you are required to use Visual Studio 2022 or newer. Visual Studio will prompt you to install any missing components once you open the sln file.

For anyone not wishing to install that, they atleast need:

• Windows 10 (older versions work probably too, but the repository is not configured for those)
• Net 6.0
• Visual Studio Code with the C# Extension provided by Microsoft
• git

Add ability to populate "YEAR" tag in files in yyyy-mm-dd format, plus other tags

Please allow the ability for the files to come with YEAR tag populated in yyyy-mm-dd format. On top of being one of the most important pieces of information to know for a song, this has the benefit of allowing us to listen to releases in chronological release order (or in reverse order).

As well, this would allow the ability of downloading releases into their own subfolders as it would 100% prevent duplicate folder names, especially when naming the subfolders as "YEAR - ALBUM". The vast majority of people who download music use one folder per release, so this would be a very welcome option!

Finally, please allow the possibility of saving the Monstercat catalogue number in a tag. The catalogue number looks like MCF036 and SILKM285.

Add ability to retrieve full resolution artwork 3000x3000

In regards to issue #2, saving releases in their own subfolders would make it feasible to download one full res copy of the artwork (3000x3000) into each respective subfolder. Such an option would be very much appreciated.

This would be a great change to go along with my previous issue #1

Perhaps an option can be added to save each release in its own subfolder. When named using yyyy-mm-dd - ALBUM, no duplicate folder names will be possible, and thus this won't cause any conflicts.
