If the "private" remote requires credentials, ripit will fail when trying to fetch updates from it, meaning the tool will never run, as the fetching is always done.

At the very least, an option could be added to not fetch the remote, so that the fetch can be done by hand, and ripit run afterwards.
Of course, a proper fix for the credentials is also needed.

After running the executable and syncing commits, the .git directory is not cleared and cherry-pick or merge files can still be present. They need to be removed to have a clean context after every commit copy.
