ami-query's Issues

id-only output

Would it be possible to add a flag that reduces the output to just the ami ID? With that, I wouldn't need to parse the output, I could just use it as is.

Something like:

> curl https://foo/bar?name=rhel-7.4-ami&output=id-only
ami-06743335eabb8a54f

Extend API: "latest"

Would it be possible to extend the API to return only the latest AMI?

I recognize that this is a can of worms, given that "latest AMI" could alternately mean "give me the latest HVM RHEL6.7 AMI" or "give me the latest RHEL7 AMI" -- maybe it comes down to only returning one ordered result based on the filtering query that is presented.
