suggested solution raises a SQL 1055 error because the approach taken to calculate the avg loan amount is not compatible with the group by

Error Code: 1055. Expression #3 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'bank.l.amount' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by

first i would amend the aggreg to refer to the group by column, d.A2, but this still raises the error (mysql is set to sql full group by which is best practice)

I believe the following can be offered as an alternative solution

select d.A2, sum(l.amount) as totamntbor, round(avg(l.amount)) as avgloan from loan l
join account a on l.account_id = a.account_id
join district d on a.district_id= d.A1
group by d.A2
order by avgloan desc
