A high number of tags refer to the same concept with different wording or different casing/styling for the same words.
It might be a good idea to add a normalization pipeline for the tags in each company.
Here is a mapping from original to normalized tags in the form of a python dict (easily convertible in any other format) that might be useful as a starting point: https://github.com/FrancescoManfredi/AIRV-analysis/blob/main/tags_repl.py
I'm the author of that mapping and this is an invite to make use of it in any way you prefer.
As a developer is very important for me to immediately know if a company allow full remote work or partial remote.
It could be helpful for developers that are looking for new job opportunities to have this information immediately visible on the table.
Rome Tools project is "dead"
Reference: https://github.com/rome/tools
Few people mentioned we could provide a "useful info" column to each company. Personally I don't think it'll play nice with the readme.md version of the list. On the other hand it could be cool to have on the web view. What do you think?
a lot of companies today embraces full remote but can hire you only as contractor, because in Italy legal presence is required. So for a correct salary comparison you need to know if you need to pay all taxes yourself or some are already managed by the company.
I was looking at Hasura and on their career page it simply says We hire across all states in the US. You can work remotely from anywhere in the US or in our office in San Francisco.
I think could be a good impro sort the companies in alphabetical order when generating the README.md
Describe the bug
The website now shows the escape characters introduced by feature #361 (when I implemented it I didn't think of that π)
Possible solution
Currently we don't validate URLs, we should do it so that we catch early something like #330.
^ ignore
Apparently we do validate but still we should check for https:/
errors. I'm pretty much an idiot when it comes to go
though @alessandromr
Describe the question
What about add consulting companies that are currently working remotely or in smart working?
Which it'll be the tech stack used for this companies ?
because there are different area, department ect ect
Thanks
I noticed a trend of companies going back to the office full-time. Should we review the companies on the list and remove the ones, not in line with the repo philosophy ?
Let me know with comments or π π
I was going to submit data for my company, but I noticed that type
is a string
. In my case, our product targets both B2B and B2C, so I thought I should be allowed to enter both of them, ideally in an array
.
What do you think?
Describe the new feature you would like
I would add an additional Offices column, listing where is/are the office(s) of the company.
That would be useful especially for Optional/Hybrid hiring policies, so that people interested in joining the company can have a first glance information by just scrolling the list, and see whether working there would be feasible or not for them.
As the title suggests. Maybe it is more useful to use the link to the company's job offers on LinkedIn, than the one on the LinkedIn company page.
See This table reflects the countries in which we have utilize PEO's but are currently NOT open for hiring: section in https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/people-group/employment-solutions/#country-hiring-guidelines
Describe the bug
Link for "Career Page" leads to error page for "BOOM".
To Reproduce
Click on "Career Page" on "Boom" row. Url is https://boom.co/careers
Given the growing number of companies inside data.json
I propose to split them following this logic:
For each company there is a single json file located in a subfolder companies
.
This would improve contributing to the repo.
I can take care of this fix if you agree @alessandromr.
The current tags
are FullRemote
and Mixed
.
I think would be better to rename FullRemote
to Full
as the column name is Remote Policy
I put the label in the title as I can't add them
On the website it says italian talens... it obviously should be Italian talents.
Is there a list of supported categories?
Would it be an option to add "Cybersecurity" as Allowed Company Category?
Various Italian cybersecurity companies offer remote position and I guess it would be nice to have them included in the list.
Cannot really find a remote job for stellantis added in #234
Should be removed IMHO, but I'd be glad to be proved wrong.
I added my remote company two days ago, adding tlm_partners.json inside the data folder, however it's not visibile yet in the readme file.
We should add a .github/CODEOWNERS
file so that each PR is automatically assigned.
Describe the bug
after the array structure the MD generated is broken
PR
Describe the new feature you would like
I would add a row with the range of RAL proposed for the jobs, if present
Before accepting a pull request, you should check if the company is compliant with smartworking.
I think the repository needs a bot or a questionnaire to tick off various answers like:
etc... etc... then assign a score from 0 to 10 with the relative link to the questionnaire in the companies/name_of_enterprise.md
folder for more details.
Check filename with a regex to avoid errors like:
Kiratech.json.JSON
Hello! Kiratech Technical Manager here.
Describe the bug
Our remote policy is not hybrid, but full remote.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
A hybrid position is offered.
Screenshots
No screenshots available, but I'm easily verifiable here https://www.kiratech.it/esperti-digital-transformation.
Can I please send a PR to adjust the company info?
Side note: Can we have a CODEOWNERS for company data?
Thanks!
Hi! I wanted to suggest the inclusion of Claranet Italy, currently the company has acquired Flowing and the old xpeppers. The tech stack had also changed a lot through the last year.
If you need any further information don't hesitate to contact me.
Source: hired un flowing and now current employee in claranet Italy
self assigning https://www.linkedin.com/company/officina-microtesti/
Guideline for CONTRIBUTING
Imho we should develop some kind of guided workflow that creates automatically a PR. We have a lot of people outside the tech space that would benefit from this. I think we can do everything with a simple GHA but also wouldn't want the feature to be abused. Any ideas @alessandromr ?
Describe the question
Categories cloud_software
, design_ux
,... should be a parameter inside the JSON file. This allows for a simpler add of new categories and simpler management of companies in multiple categories.
