People can't edit wiki pages only add comments etc.

The openPMA gen4 wiki has been around for some time and is now open to all

MyArchos 605 wifi is running 1.8.07 firmware .can I get a root access by 
GFT Exploit .I want to direct access to the "hidden" Linux partitions. 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ssh to the archos
2. do some stuff
3. wait a minute or two, then session connection is lost

Can't type in ssh session anyore, connection is lost

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I follow your steps but when I use putty it says "Network Connection: timed
out.

I have very little knowledge of linux and scripting, should i wait until
someone comes with apps or something like jail break, or should i read up
on some basics and beginners tuts. I can't get pass step 4 in installing
arcwelder

I purchased a new Archos 705 and, when first 
connecting to the internet, Archos offered to update the firmware. Like a
fool I agreed.

I've no idea if the prior version would have been susceptible to the GFT
technique but the new version certainly is not.

Is it possible to downgrade the version, or install an older firmware
version? Is there another crack possible?

I would really like to run Amarok rather than the rather limited music
player supplied. I also would prefer an ext2 filesystem over the vfat. I
need root access to accomplish this.
