To better structure the project, I want to create a config file for each micro service, one for serialization and one for persistence database.

Choose with protocol to implement for our project:

It is highly recommended (1, 2) to use not the default java serializer but another one, e.g. protobuf.

But there remain a few question for now:

• how much effort is to replace java serializer?
• how much performance is to be gained?
• which serializer should we use?
