Chaotic CV Page on mobile

What the title said.

Counter-Strategy

  • Will be looking into Bootstrap for predefined css styles to work with mobile.
  • If above doesn't work, then will investigate on using user-agent detection to render differing pages.

Visual bugs on Mobile

Some known visual bugs on mobile.

My device: iPhone 5s
Browser: Safari

Issues:

  • MathJax is not responsive. Unfortunately, this is a problem with how MathJax presents the math.

Contacts and Study section are reversed

As of now, the sections for Contacts and Study are reversed, despite that the code has it in its proper place. I will investigate on the other includes and layouts to make sure of how the for loop works.

Site Enhancements

This is a list of the improvements that I plan to add to the site in the coming days whenever I have some time to sit down and talk to myself about it. Comments, suggestions and criticisms are well appreciated.

UX

  • Greater coverage of browsers, will research on what exactly will be the versions that I wish to support. But for now, these browsers will get priority: FF, Chrome, Safari, Edge.
  • NoJS fallbacks, as a UX improvement for those who prefer to enable JS optionally, as a challenge for myself, and as a token of my message to those who notice it that we don't necessarily need to rely on JS for better UI & UX.
  • (May need to) rethink presentation of blog posts. It seems to require a lot of scrolling right now, even though its pleasant to read fonts of such size while keeping a comfortable distance from the screen.

UI

- Navigation requires rework. Below is the current rough idea.

- Presentation of posts needs a rework. Current idea is to show the name of smaller posts by the side of the latest blog post in the index. DONE

"Backend"

  • Figure out how to further reduce build times on Travis CI
