Thanks for submitting this issue. I think those token.get statements were just typos that resulted from me forgetting that the token objects only implement part of the dictionary API. If you'd like, you can make a pull request which makes that modification. You'll have to update one or two tests as well which will break.

I looked into it and In fact my reporting was wrong. I thought I was installing the last version with djangorestframework_simplejwt==3.2 in my requirements but because of the 3.2 tag it was installing 3.2 instead of 3.2.3.

Maybe you should rename it to 3.2.0? Anyway all is well. Thank you for the great work and the fast answer.

You should try pinning a version range instead of an exact version.
