OK, So I've got the Tapatalk module up and running on two sites. Both sites are exhibiting the same behaviour (it may be that the config is the same as one is the test site of the other). What I am seeing is that New posts, the Timeline and Participated are populating nicely. What i am not seeing is that the Forums option (where you can drill down to the various forum groups and sub-forums) doesn't populate anything. I though that it may just be time required, however the test site is over 24 hours with no data being populated.

Is there a configuration option I am missing?

I am trying to use the AF Tapatalk module, and I am having trouble getting it to work from the Tapatalk side of things.

I have everything set up (it's slightly different that in the instructions, however I figured it out), and I am getting an error form the Tapatalk end. The details are:

Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error)

Not a lot of details on that...

Any ideas where to start looking? I'm going to start digging a bit.

The "unread" tab disappeared with the latest round of client updates. The client still supports it and nothing has changed in the plugin.

Need to figure out why this happened and how (if possible) it can be fixed.

I've requested assistance in the matter from the people at Tapatalk.

Followed the installation instructions, but there is no no location on the advanced options for the file type and Tapatalk fails to connect to the site. Seems like Tapatalk have updated not sure what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

So I've narrowed this issue down to tapatalk and a few users. Here is what happens.

There is a topic with a subject. A user posts from active forums. In the forum list it now shows up as the latest topic. I see the topic subject, the date/time and who made the post.

User a replies to the topic via tapatalk. 2 strange things happen. First off the email notification comes from the site admin email address and not the reply address specified for that forum. In the email notification there is no topic subject it says RE: in the forum list it now shows User A's reply as the latest as it should and it also shows no subject only RE:

User b (myself in this case) replies to the same topic via tapatalk. I get the email notification telling me there is a new reply, it comes from the correct email address and has the proper topic subject. In the forum list now user b's reply is latest and it shows that with the correct subject.

If I delete this post its back the way it was before.

I tried this on another site running AF and tapatalk plugin with the same 2 users and it happens again. I can duplicate it wholly. However the problem is with some versions of tapatalk.

This user a (the one who causes the problems with the topic subject) is also experiencing and issue when launching tapatalk. He is using a droid. When he tries to get on it quickly pops up a warning stating he can't connect to the forum, doesn't show long enough to even get a screen shot. But he can still connect, see posts, reply etc. I'm guessing that this may have something to do with it.

The user who is having an issue is one of my site admins so I have the ability to use him and his device if needed.

What would be the benefit (if any) of uninstalling the tapatalk API and reinstalling it? Would it reset anything?

I have 2 instances of active forums on my site, one for members and one for social groups. I have the one for social groups working fine but cannot get the second one connecting.

Does this module support more than one instance?

I have never been able to get TT working, just gave up with and moved on to another issue with my dnn install. Decided to take another look TT. Uninstalled everything and started fresh and get the same results as before.

My WP8 displays.

Exception in: http://rvsupertramp.com.au/aft1019/mobiquo.ashx. Data:get_config</ methoidName></ methodCall>

Now my install says aft1196. I think that the original install was aft1019. So I set the module and TT to aft1019 and I don't get the message but still doesn't work. So now I'm looking into the system ans several questions arise.

a) Does the TT install write anything to the DB? I can't find any tables.
b) The aftxxxx directory. Should this exist? If so where? I doesn't and neither does a mobiquo.ashx file.

Hi,

I'm using the AD-Pro Authentication Provider for our portal running AF. Therefore it's not possible to throw the right credentials at DNN via tapatalk since stored DNN passwords are just randomly generated temporary passwords and the correct AD credentials are never actually stored in DNN.
Would it be possible to change the AFTT code so the API does not throw credentials against DNN but the AD provider instead?

Okay this is a two edge sword. 1) I'm learning my way around here, not sure if this is the correct place to be posting.

2. I had a go at running TT some time ago. All that was returned was code. I was using a WP 8 and also one of my moderators results were the same with an android phone.

Now with this current release we having another go. This time we see on the Home page six tiles (well I do on WP 8) Subscribed Forums, Subscribed Topics, Participated, Unread, Timeline and Forums. The only tile that displays anything is Forums, on tap (Forum Groups) on tap Group (Subforums) on tap Subforum (discussions) but there are no topics or posts.

There is a create new topic button (+) that works and I can create a new topic. New topic is written to the forum but is not available on TT.

What's wrong? As far as I can tell I have all settings set.

Locked threads and polls. Tapatalk doesn't seem to understand that the topic has a poll, or if I lock a thread it will allow me to respond. Funny thing is that it shows a lock icon on the topic, but still lets me post a reply.

Last test I did, it actually crashed the app, but still posted the reply to the locked thread. This was done with a non-admin user.

I can't confirm this on other versions or with other platforms, but there is most definitely an issue replying with this version of tapatalk. I can also confirm that this is only happening on the few sites I'm using with the tapatalk plugin for active forums. It does not exist on other non DNN forums.

When I reply to a topic from the app it actually posts to the forum (99% of the time) but the app crashes. Then when I go back into the forum on the app, my previous text is still in the input box and needs to be cleared before I can type anything new.

Creating a new post does not crash the app. Only replying.

On some forum some symbols as à,è,i.... not appear correctly.
TT client show: &#xxx;

There is a portal tab in the app that from what I understand is able to retrieve a list of blog posts. (Wordpress only) I wonder how we can make use of that in the plugin? I could not find any useful information about that feature in the api documentation.

Anyone here knows more, maybe?

I believe the website is setup correctly as I can log into my secure forums, navigate the forums and read the replies. But when I try to post a reply, I receive error "Post Error - Method not found: 'System.String DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.ControlUtils,BuildUrl(int32, ...)". See screenshot.

I'm running DNN 7.00.06 and installed Active Forums 5.0.3 and Active Forums Tapatalk 1.1.0.

I just wanted to take a quick survey of AF admins to see how they have their DNN/AF configured.

1. In DNN, do you use Display Names and if so do you force display names to be unique.

2. In AF, do have have it configured to display username, display name or some combination of first/last name.

These are important questions because the Tapatalk clients have a serious limitation in that the always pass "username" and never pass "userid". In AF, "username" maps to whatever is configured to display in forum posts.

If we can determine that most people have this configured to use "username" or "unique display names", then it will be possible to implement some additional parts of the Tapatalk API (private messages, user info, etc).

I suspect that this is the case for most AF installs, but I want to verify it before I sink a bunch more effort into additional implementations.

Been using the tapatalk plugin for a few months, and recently disabled incognito settings for tapatalk (they also recently made admin changes to the incognito function) and now, while I can login to the forums on my phone and view threads, I can't click on any particular topic due to an error message.

Here is the error message I get:
