When compiling some tests in the README, gfortran complains with the error in the subject. Commenting all references to set_use_auto_color make the example compile and run correctly. My best guess is that method is just a leftover from a previous version of the library.

Testing was introduced to this library in v1.6.2. It really needs to be expanded.

I really like this package, especially the fact that is written using modern features. Thanks for sharing it.

I am wondering if there is any plan to support the Fortran package manager.

Levereging the great project forcolormap (fpm ready) would bring fplot to the next level. For the rationale of such effort, please see for example this.

The install script has issues with the iso_varying_string library and needs attention. Ideally, the string routines should be pulled into a separate library and thereby remove this issue completely.

The meson build scripts need to be updated to account for the dependency changes.
