azure-loghandling's Issues

Work out if all the console.log statements in az_function.js should be removed

There are a bunch of console.log statements in the az_functions.js rsyslog plugin.

Obviously there is no console to receive the messages and write them anywhere so these should either be removed or replaced with a logging system that allows different profiles, e.g. how you have different log4j properties in development vs production.

Getting request but not sending message

Hi,
I Have completed every steps but no message is sent through Event Hub into my Blob storage.
No error message, I just could not get any message through Event Hub.
Please assist.
Thanks

Publish the Azure automation functions / steps for provisioning

Azure allows you to provision systems in a scripted manner. It would make setup much simpler if those scripts were collected together and stored in this repository.

Tasks:

  • Export, clean up and store the Azure Automation scripts in this repository
  • Update the setup instructions

Create Azure Queue Service and Azure Blob Storage alternative examples

Event Hub and Cosmos DB are really intended for applications of a decent scale. Chances are, if this is being used for a small network that you'll be some way off that.

Tasks:

  • create an Azure Queue Service and an Azure Blob Storage example
  • create instructions
  • work out the scaling point where one method outweighs the other

Extension task (maybe a follow on Issue) - would be to solve the visualisation problem for this alternative set of systems.
