jx-changelog's Issues

specifying --tag-prefix removes the prefix from created tag

I am using jx changelog in repositories that have patch fixes to multiple versions. I.e. the semantic and chronological ordering of tags do not match. The documentation for the --tag-prefix parameter states "prefix to filter on when searching for version tags," so I set it to look at the correct prefix for the new version.

Eg., with recent tag history of

  • v1.0.8
  • v1.0.9
  • v1.1.4
  • v1.0.10
ran jx changelog create --version v1.1.5 --tag-prefix v1.1

Expected result: v1.1.5 tag/release created with changes between v1.1.4 and v1.1.5.

Actual result: .5 tag/release created with changes between v1.1.0 and v1.1.5
