Checking the OperatingSystem inside TEstBase probably isn't correct

I don't think this code is testing the correct OS accurately

It's most likely just returning true if you're on a Mac and true if you're on a windows desktop

Should we move code that's actually interacting with appium to extension methods?

I wonder if this code here

Should be an extension method on AppiumDriver opposed to being part of the base class.

I feel like having too much on the base class is going to create a bit too much cognitive load.

Server Start code is going to run for every class that inherits from TestBase

If we want to keep the server start code as part of the sample we probably want it to check if the server is running and/or just start from a single place.

Not sure the best way to do this off hand with NUnit

I think in our tests we store it into a static variable

The Maui app does not start on its own and needs to be triggered manually. It also needs to stay open because it does not restart

Hi Gerald:

This great repo automatically starts the maui app when the tests start and it restarts the app properly every new test...

But in a complex app this is not happening.

Another incompatibility was that I need use the path to the app instead of the name: app/bin/net8,.../android/...apk instead of com.company.app_xxx!App

1 Do you think this may be related?

2 Any idea if the size of an app can affect the starting of it?
