WebPrint Tray Icon

WebPrint Tray Icon is a system tray app to simplify printing at Calvin College.
It creates a 'webprint' folder containing a folder for each printer you want to us. WebPrint will watch these folders and print any new files.

WARNING: Files in the 'webprint' folder will be deleted after printing.

Download

A Windows installer can be downloaded from Source Forge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/webprinttrayico/files/latest/download
At this time, OSX and Linux are not supported.
Setup

#####1. Download And Install Download and install the WebPrint installer from the link on this page.
After running the installer, you must sign in and select the printers you want to use.
#####2. Sign In After running the installer, a printer icon will appear in the system tray.
Right click the icon, and select 'Settings' from the menu.
In the settings window, click on the 'Account' tab.
Enter your username and password, and click 'sign in'.
#####3. Select Printers In the settings window, click on the 'Printers' tab.
Select the printers you would like to use, and click 'apply' to save changes.
This will create a folder for that printer in your 'webprint' folder.
By default, your webprint folder is in 'My Documents'. If you want to move it, you can do so in the 'General' tab.
How To Print

Print your document normally, but select 'Microsoft XPS Image Writer' as your printer.
This will print to a file which can be saved in a folder which WebPrint is watching.
When prompted, navigate to the 'webprint' folder and save the file inside the folder corresponding to the printer your wnat to use.
WebPrint will detect the new file and notify you that it is being sent to the printer.

WARNING: Files in the 'webprint' folder will be deleted after printing.

"Documents pending" count is doubled

The count of the number of documents pending is double what it should be.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Print a document
  2. While it is printing, mouse over the tray icon

The tray icon will say "2 documents pending", when it should only say 1.
