Plugin Manager

The latest official release version of Plugin Manager is now 1.1.4. It contains a number of bug fixes plus a few new features.

One of the new features we want to highlight is its ability to check its version against what has been newly released. You can configure the program to check for new versions every time it starts in the Setup window, or have it check manually in the Help menu.

When a new version is available, you will see a response window like this:

From there, it is easy to open a browser to the download page for the newer version.

Road Map

Add a download or info link for zip file records.
Support for profiles.
Get plugin names from manifest.json files.
Provide a way to update existing folder records automatically from zip file contents.

Logging Enabled Menu Item

The Logging Enabled menu item under Logging is not checked after turning logging on in the Settings window.

Program Crash after Zip file delete

The program crashed after deleting a zip file and record.

I think this occurred from within the zip file editor.

About Box Icon

The About window needs its own non-generic icon.

Wrong install date recorded during synchronization

Describe the bug
All community folders receive an "install date" of "12/31/1600 6:00:00 PM."

Expected behavior
Community folders should receive an install date equal to their "Date Modified" field.

Hidden folders appear to get the correct date.

Window Positioning

Windows should open near the window from which they are opened. Ex. the About window should centered on the main window.

Logging Level

The logging level should be selectable even if logging is currently disabled because logging can be enabled from the main menu.

Some fields contain erroneous data in the Folder Information Editor

Describe the bug
If no zip file is specified in the Folder Information Editor, the plugin name and version fields show erroneous data.

Zip files will not open.

Describe the bug
When the user tries to open a zip file, an error message appears.

To Reproduce

Open Packages tab.
Select a ZIP file.
Click Open.

The error message appears.

Expected behavior
A new window should appear, showing the root level ZIP contents.

Zip File Delete Option Causes Program Crash

Describe the bug
After selecting to delete selected records, the program window closed.

To Reproduce

From the Packages tab, select some zip file records.
Click Delete.
Select "Only delete Database records."
Click OK.
The program window disappears.

Expected behavior
The program should delete the selected records.

Unable to Clone Wiki Locally

Describe the bug
When I try to clone a wiki of one of my projects locally using Github Desktop, I get an error message stating, "We couldn't find that repository. Check that you are logged in, the network is accessible, and the URL or repository alias are spelled correctly."
