This is a fantastic tool. It would be amazing to be able to specify a number of context lines to be displayed surrounding a match, such as with the -A -B and -C flags in grep.
Under Usage, it says we can print a file's contents with find * -type f | scout | cat
, but this prints a file's path instead.
Update Cargo.toml
with:
[package]
edition = "2021"
rust-version = "1.56"
In my scout.toml
I have,
[screen]
mode = "full" # or "inline"
# Max number of lines to display the whole UI. Only used in inline mode
lines = 12
And when running scout I get those lines printed minus two. So if lines
is set to 12, I get 10 listings.
If I comment out the lines
setting, I get a full display.
