About The Project

jSnake Screenshot

jSnake is a simple console snake game coded in Java. Internet access is not required. I am not responsible for any damages done to your PC while using jSnake. Bug reports, suggestions and tips are always welcome! You can help keep the jSnake hanging. Star this repository! 🌟

Features

  • Runs on every major platform, the cloud, basically anywhere (try jSnake on mobile using Termux!)
  • Easy controls and manipulation
  • Contains funny easter eggs! (you can add your own, we might start calling em cheat codes)

Built With

Usage

  1. Make sure you have javac and java executables installed and configured
  2. Download the code, then compile and run jSnake by typing javac jSnake.java && java jSnake
  3. Click Yes if prompted by UAC (Administrator priviliges are not required by default)
  4. jSnake will display the grid and wait for a move
  5. Just move with Z, Q, S, D and discover the ✨ easter eggs ✨
  6. Once done type exit to close or restart for a new game.

Formatting issues

Code is not well formatted, variable names not following standards.

The current screenshot is old and the tail feature isn't implemented yet
