Zip contains 0 byte file

Converting a base64 string to .bin at https://www.opinionatedgeek.com/codecs/base64decoder and using it to convert to a usable font results in an archive that has an empty file.

Hey, just wanted to say thank you for making this. You did a really good job and since I've never seen anyone use github issues for reporting praise, I guess I'll make this a feature request for a way to leave positive feedback. Also, kudos on removing the ads and doing the donation option. Overall it just made me really happy that someone had made something as excellent as ofc and did it with style. Keep doing what you're doing.

I always getting "The Service is temporarily unavailable" when I access the website, it was normal since before.

Cannot convert font due to the API issue

Recently I tried to use this tool to convert PFB to TTF. There always appears a message that the Mashape is unable to respond.

Issue converting font on Firefox

I want to convert a .otf font to several others formats (svg, ttf, woff, eot).
But on Firefox (v35.0.1 on Mac OS X), I have the following Javascript error :

Doing the same on Chrome works well.

Failed to convert error

I am trying to convert my .sdf file to various fonts files which have all worked until yesterday.
Now I am getting a constant Failed to convert error

donated and didn't get my fonts! :(

Uploaded fine. Seemed to convert fine. Downloaded? WHERE? Nope. Sent a donation but now got no fonts!

SVG upside down

I have a special font I want to turn into SVG. It's a pain to do this in Adobe illustrator so I tried it with your online converter... it works... well "almost" because they come out upside down!

The output file for the fonts shows nothing on the web, but I can extract just the points for one gif

Error log - LucidaGrande.ttc

While generating the fonts out of LucidaGrande.ttc I have the error. Downloading logs shows:

Multiple Font weights into TTC font file (TrueType Collection)

I've run into a cool feature that lets you pick many font weights into a single font file.
When I tried to upload my multi-weight font files and selected TTC, it converted each weight to a single TTC file. I want them all to be in a single TTC file.
Is that possible?

Do I have to register with Mashape to use your site - or is that just to get the API? I see that some of your competitors have PayPal donation buttons - it isn't clear if/how your site is monetized.

Another minor niggle is that the 'How To' jumps right out of your site into Mashape - you need to click the browser back arrow to return to your site. It's the same with the 'What tools ... ' link. These are key items that should really be on your own site.

In terms of trust, I'd be wary about running the converter in case it installed some malware on my laptop.

We must make it more clear that no program will be installed and that the API is for free to use. And that they don't need to sign up

Ooops...Font-face CSS needed editing (my bad)

I uploaded museo.otf and got back something that looked like Garamond, but then I realized, that I had to modify the css font classes to match the correct font family & file names, and also needed to correct the font-weight attribute.. I'm such a dunce...(hence my editing this post) It works fine now. Thank you!

The website isn't working at all

So, my known issue is the Mashape API may huge big update and no longer working on your website. That's why the checkbox thing doesn't appear. Hopefully you updating the Mashape API immediately!

Online Font Converter generating empty folders

I've been using online font converter to convert .woff2 and .woff fonts to .tff, but since a while back I've been having issues with the folders not containing any fonts once downloaded. The only thing in the folders seem to be the README file. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Application fails with every uploaded font

Tried multiple times w/ different fonts, but everytime I get the error 'Failed to convert the font' 🤷‍♂️

When i try to convert my fonts, website don't return anything

When I select the character that interests me and then click on done, the site tells me that it is downloading and also hear the end download sound but the finished download file does not appear. How can I solve it?

Archive architecture

The downloaded archive contains archives itself. I suggest to copy the FontSquirrel file architecture. I think it is the more common now and what users except for a web project. What do you think?

Conversion doesn’t work in Firefox

Hello, I tried to make it works locally. I should have missed the documentation, the README is empty and I don’t know how to make the converter work. It is seams stuck at conversion (no progress bar) and I don’t see any error or feedback. What did I miss?

Hi! I think you recently changed to use something called "MashApe" to try and recoup expenses. However, all of the links to "MashApe" now go to something called "KongHQ", and none of your FAQ pages seem to be there, and there is no discussion of the pricing, etc...

Select Fonts/Upload not working

Onclicking SELECT FONT(S) we are getting above error and grey overlay.

OTF is AFM

I have only the OTF box checked when converting a font. The fonts that come out are all AFM.

Wrong name of downloaded files when it contains 'Regular' word

Hey, I converted several fonts today and I have noticed that when name of input file contains 'Regular' word, this word is missing in the name of output file. However this happened only for .woff format.
Let me give you example:

Input files (.ttf)

• XY-Regular.ttf
• XY-RegularItalic.ttf

Output files with bug (.woff)

• XY.woff
• XY-Italic.woff

Output files without bug (.woff2)

• XY-Regular.woff2
• XY-RegularItalic.woff2

Archive : naming

When downloading an archive, the name of the file is "arcive", I think you mean "archive" :)

Who made the API?

I'd like to speak with them directly. ;)

Unable to read the response

I've been trying to convert my SVG font but it showed an error. The error log shows "Unable to read the response". I've converted lots of fonts using OFC before. I thought this error was coused by Inkscape update, but the error occured before & after update.

procentDone is prone to rounding errors.

I just uploaded a combination of files which triggered a rounding error in the calculation of procentDone. After all downloads were completed, procentDone was 100.0000000000001 and the === 100 check did not trigger. A cheap and dirty workaround may be to just round before comparing.

Steps to reproduce: Enter (0.1+0.2)*10/3 in your JS console.

It just didn't work at all.

I loaded a ttc file and it loaded up the font.
Then it just hung there and nothing happened?

Hello! I don't know if it's intentional or not (I'm guessing it isn't as the rest of the page is in English), but when I click "Select Font(s)," the popup is in Swedish.

Get rid of Paypal and use Bitcoin

Failed to сonvert font

OFC stopped converting fonts? I try to convert OpenSans, ProximaNova, SFProDisplay, Gilroy, etc. And always the result is "Failed to сonvert font". In the error log file is always the same: Unable to read the response.
PS. I choose formats: woff, woff2. And upload formats: ttf or otf. Windows 10, Google Chrome v76.0.3809.100

Dumbest issue on all of GitHub

This repository is only the front-end of the font converter. It's the only batch font conversion tool out there that works, as far as I know. Where may I find the API source code, if it even is a public thing? I have been a regular user until the service stopped working (thanks to another service removing their free tier).

Actual conversion source code?

I'm a bit confused as to what is open sourced here. Is this just a frontend for hitting an API? Will you release the actual conversion code behind it? It would be great to be able to adapt this for use from the CLI.

Continuously breaks

I upload a bunch of woff files, first time it works and i get back a valid ZIP. Next time I get a corrupted archive and on third try the service is temporarily unavailable. Can you look into this?

API + WEBSITE not working

The api is not working the way it should as well as the website is giving out "Failed to convert" error and not converting fonts. I just build a tool based on your api. Please help so that I can put my work to some good use.

Question and answers are not working

it seems to be a css problem with Question and answers modal in firefox.

the .md-dialog-container should be positioned fixed and not absolute; additionally i recomend to remove the script which is incorrectly assign a top property to the .md-dialog-container (currently only in edge is assigning a different value from 0).
