Any ideas Liam?

MainSlide in DOM hierarchy

Having some positioning issues with the nav after deciding not to use viewports for the height (as fixed nav heights seem to be the industry standard, with good aesthetic reason).

Given that MainSlide is a container that takes up the entire viewport, and we want the a constant instance of the Menu component (nav), doesn't this mean we need could do with having MainSlide at the top of the DOM hierarchy in App.js, with Menu as its child?

Also thought this would be useful for any fancy transitions between site background between pages that could be effected by state change.

Let us know!

Find way to serve static files to wiki

The UCL iGEM Wiki setup leaves a lot to be desired in terms of serving files in a local directory tree. Dumping static files elsewhere is probably a good move for now.

I'm looking at reusing the classic GAE/app.yaml handling combo - then the wiki will only need to serve the index.html and script.js entry points.

This will require me going through and changing all our src and href paths... will give it a go.

slimline-nav: Colour animation + Video fade.

I REALLY like what you've done here, really good job. Although, do you think it may look a bit better to have the fade to colour happen as you load the page and have the video fade in as you click the button? I find having both the fade to colour and fade to video in one sequence of animations is a bit long. Thoughts?
