dmxreceiver's Issues

no channel greater then 62 ?

i am running this sketch with your library and it works fine as long as i am sending data to channel 0 -62.

channels above that do not react and get 0.

is there a limit in your library ?

when i run the same code with the library i downloaded in 2013 it works fine.

thanks,stephan

interrupt priority

hi.

i have been using your library for a while now. it's great. a big thanks to you.

i am now using it in conjunction with an attachInterrupt to catch the zero crossing of an AC signal. that works fine too, but sometimes that interrupt does not get caught, and i am guessing because the dmx usart interrupt has a higher priority.

do you know how to lower the DMX library's interrupt priority?

do you think converting the DMX library to use DMA channels would be a good idea?

thanks, stephan.

Issue with some DMX transmitters

I honestly don't know enough about the structure of DMX to know how to fix this, but with some sources (including the Chinese wireless DMX receivers readily available on eBay, and Pathport nodes on any speed setting), I get a read out of some channels as being permanently at 254, with the rest being at 0.

The divide (usually chan >309 is 0 and chan <= 309 at 254) depends on which speed setting I have the node at.

I imagine this is something to do with (variable?) timing of different parts of the signal. Unfortunately I don't own an oscilloscope to observe the difference between the DMX produced by the problematic sources and a known working source (an old DJ-style 192-channel desk).

Any suggestions as to how I could get this working with a wider range of sources?
