spatial_pca's Introduction

Spatial_PCA

This data and set of Matlab scripts implements methodology presented in:

M. Markhvida, L. Ceferino, and J. Baker. “Modeling spatially correlated spectral accelerations at multiple periods using principal component analysis and geostatistics”. In: Earthquake Engineering & Structural Dynamics In Review (2017).

The script MAIN_sample.m calls the other scripts in the folder, provides some comments, and can be helpful for understanding and using the code in this repository.

This code has been provided to help implement methodology and calculations provided in the above-mentioned paper, and facilitate additional related calculations. It is not fully documented, however, this software is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
