Please don't stop on first failure

At the moment, if the script hits a problem, an exception occurs and the script stops.

This means that it isn't possible to see all of the issues that need investigating. Please look at altering the flow so that the script carries on.

GMail requires STARTTLS

If the Discourse service is configured to use SSL with GMail, the latter requires STARTTLS. At the moment, the script fails like this:

info Check SMTP configuration...
error Couldn’t connect to SMTP server: 530 Must issue a STARTTLS command first

There are some StackOverflow articles on how to fix this but my Ruby knowledge is zero otherwise I'd suggest a PR.
