The logic now does manual color calculations, so you can't do it in CSS very easily.

They're currently hardcoded in _htmlForCell in map-visualization.js

With a programmatic color and width. Shows up behind the cells.

Allow a transition to be set to non zero which would animate all propoerties like opacity, etc.

Would need an override transitionsDisabled which can be set via the screenshotting service too.

Especially important as it starts being possible to add new states, to make sure it doesn't

Active should be a subclass of captured cells--setting a cell to be active should require first capturing it.
