serve 1.5.0.pre4 breaks that again. The problem is in serve/view_helpers.rb:157
I can't render neither .html.coffee nor .html.textile partials. Where are the partials in the test project? I'm sure there were some.

I'm wondering if the problem might be that you need to install the appropriate Gems?
This Gemfile works for me:
source :rubygems
gem 'rails', '= 3.0.9'
gem 'serve', '= 1.5.0.pre4'
gem 'sass'
gem 'compass'
gem 'haml'
gem 'RedCloth'
gem 'bluecloth'
gem 'slim'
gem 'coffee-script'
from serve.
I also added new tests for this in:
https://github.com/jlong/serve/tree/master/test_project/coffee
And:
https://github.com/jlong/serve/blob/master/test_project/helpers/render/_partial.html.coffee
I believe all of the files from your patch are still there, too.

Thank you for your Gemfile. it worked when I used your Gemfile and uninstalled rack-1.3.0 https://gist.github.com/1070470
It looks like my Gemfile is doing something stupid. https://gist.github.com/1070496

I'm sorry it was my fault. It seems like I messed up my rvm installation.
