Sketchup SVG outline plugin

Fork of FlightOfIdeas Sketchup SVG outline plugin that fixes some bugs that makes it work in the new Sketchup 2015 edition.

The reason I forked this was to fix the use in Sketchup 2015 and was not able to get in contact with the original author.

Before installation

Make sure you have any previous plugin version uninstalled. You might even have to delete the files manually from the Plugins directory (see http://help.sketchup.com/en/article/38583 for details on default location for this).

Installation

1. Download the latest .rbz file from releases
2. Go into the Sketchup preferences.
3. Under Extensions, click Install extension and find the .rbz file.
4. Make sure the FlightsOfIdeasSVG extension is checked in the list of extensions.

Verify you have the correct version installed

Please note that this version of the plugin only has one button with SVG on it. There should not be any mosquite icon or link to any webpage. If you still see this you have an older version installed still.

If the save button does nothing, this is also an indicator that you have an old version installed. Remove it and reinstall.

Usage

The plugin has its own tool palette. It is made visible through activating the menu item View > Tool Palettes > FlightsOfIdeas. The tool palette has a single button that reads 'SVG':

To use the plugin, a face in SketchUp needs to be selected. Then, the 'SVG' button can be clicked and the plugin dialogue appears.

Kan inte spara

Jag kan inte få den att spara till svg. När jag trycker på Save händer det helt enkelt inget alls. Har du någon idé om vad det kan bero på?

Button doesn't seem to do anything

I double checked to make sure that the old version was deleted, but the SVG button still doesn't seem to do anything.

Any suggestions on what I could try?

This would be a great extension to have working. Thanks for your effort.

Impossible to make it work anymore

It worked like a charm, but since a few weeks from now, with Sketchup 2016 or now with Sketchup 2017, extension seems to ther, window opens, but nothing happens when "save" button is clicked...

Is there somebody knowing this issue?

extension installation fails silently

After installing the original plugin (on SketchUp Make 15.3.329), I removed the flightsofideas.* files from the Plugins directory. I then downloaded, renamed, and moved sketchup-svg-outline-plugin-master.rbz into the directory.

I have attempted to install the extension, using SketchUp > Preferences > Extensions. No warnings or errors appear, but the extension does not appear to be installed. It isn't on the list and no visible GUI elements appear to change.

sketchup doesn't load the extension on mac

I used your version of FlightOfIdeas extension (and thanks for taking care of it) with SU 2015 on Windows, but I couldn't make it work on MacOSX (Yosemite). Do you know if other user had the same issue? Do you have an idea about what the problem might be?
