Welcome to the “NOVAthesis_word” template

These template(s) attempt to respect the layout of the the thesis and dissertations at FCT-NOVA (with the new covers introduced in march 2021), mimicking the visual produced with the NOVAthesis LaTeX template.

There are two similar versions:

• one for monographs written in Portuguese, and
• another for monographs written in English.

Please note that each version includes the covers (and back covers) for both the Ph.D. and M.Sc. dissertations, and you must delete the ones that do not apply to your document.

Getting Help

**These templates are provided as is with no support at all. **

However, the “Discussions” page is open and users may interact and help each other there. You may also ask for help in the NOVAthesis Facebook Group, but remember to make it clear in your post that you are using the Word version of the template.

Add headers to pages

The even pages have the current chapter number and title (heading 1).
The odd pages have the current section number and title (heading 2).

Pdf compiling

Hi,

I´ve just started to write my dissertation in the overleaf. It is an error while compiling the pdf:
"
This compile didn’t produce a PDF. This can happen if:
There is an unrecoverable LaTeX error. If there are LaTeX errors shown below or in the raw logs, please try to fix them and compile again.
The document environment contains no content. If it’s empty, please add some content and compile again.
This project contains a file called output.pdf. If that file exists, please rename it and compile again.
