numpipe's Issues

Installing wheel version does not create config file

Wheels do not run setup.py, so the post-install hooks do not create and write the numpipe.config file. Is there a fix to this problem? (current solution is to distribute only source builds, where setup.py is run)

Progress bar printing is incorrect on non-Linux OSs

Parallel progress bars output is incorrect on Windows and macOS (the output is a mess)

On Windows, one known issue is the difference between process fork behavior -- the global pbar is initialized N times in Windows vs. only once in Linux due to the difference in child process creation.

In macOS, ANSI escape sequences are not natively supported, see
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25879183/can-terminal-app-be-made-to-respect-ansi-escape-codes
