I believe the Web inspector can be enabled for any app that uses Webkit.
I've used it for Adium and Colloquy. That said, I'm not aware of a global
preference for this, so it's probably something that simply need to have a

There are a few settings that you cannot access via iTerm's own Preferences
panel. However, you
can use 'defaults" command to change them to your taste. The available settins
along with the
default settings are:
defaults write iTerm UseUnevenTabs -bool false
defaults write iTerm MinTabWidth -int 75
defaults write iTerm MinCompactTabWidth -int 60
defaults write iTerm OptimumTabWidth -int 175
defaults write iTerm StrokeWidth -float 0
defaults write iTerm BoldStrokeWidth -float -2
defaults write iTerm CacheSize -float 2048
defaults write iTerm SearchCommand -string "http://google.com/search?q=%@"
The first four are for setting the tab size. And the next 2 are for setting the
stroke width of fonts
rendering. The numbers in the example are all default settings. Experiment with
different
numbers. For example, to enable antialias for very small fonts, type these
commands:
defaults write iTerm StrokeWidth -float -1
The CacheSize is the number of characters that are cached for rendering.
Increase it when you
use a lot of different colors and a large character set. The last one is for
the search command
launched from the contextual menu. The default is to use google. You can set it
to anything you
want. For example, if you like yahoo, here is the command:
defaults write iTerm SearchCommand -string "http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=%@"

There is no documentation whatsoever for this prefpane, at least as far as
I can tell.
A simple 'About' page (or FAQ, or help page, or...) on the website would
fix this. I'd recommend including a brief description of this prefpane and
how to install it. Perhaps also a note about how this shouldn't really be
used by beginners.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select Xcode in Secrets, then select an aiff (e.g. from ~/Library/Sounds),
right click and get POSIX path, paste to Secrets build success or
failure text field (I used Temple.aiff)
2. ditto HFS path (I used Uh oh.aiff which I believe originated in OS 9. In any
case, Quicklook makes the sound)
3. start Xcode, build a project, either successfully or insert a source code
error
Variations I tried: double-quote path, \ quote spaces in path (e.g. Macintosh\
HD:). Haven't read source, do you evaluate path using a
shell? Press Return or not press return in text field. Also, quit System
Preferences/not quit before starting Xcode. In all cases I quit Xcode
before editing in Secrets. Did not log out/in.
What is the expected output? Wanted to hear a beep (in Quicklook I could hear
sound from same aiff) on success or failure of build.
What do you see instead? Normal build or fail, as though I had not set up in
Secrets.
OTHER NOTE: after restarting System Preferences, these fields were empty, even
though I had quit SP with paths in the fields.. I note that
Indent on paste was correctly remembered between launches, and permissions:
bayesMacBook: ls -l com.apple.Xcode.plist
-rw------- 1 bayes bayes 38729 Mar 3 08:54 com.apple.Xcode.plist
so I don't thinks it's a permissions problem, though I didn't grovel through
the plist to see if/where the build sound preferences were
stored.

When setting the locale to German, then fractional numbers use "," instead of
"." as the decimal
point separator.
When such a fractional number is shown, e.g. for System Preference's "Window
and Sheet animation
time", the locale _is_ observed, i.e. it shows "0,1". However, when one tries
to edit the value, one
needs to enter a US-locale number, using the "." as the separator, to make it
accepted.
To fix this, the entering of a floating point number should use the same locale
that the showing of
such numbers uses.
