A column in my table is a composed field. Sorting by that field would need to sort by both fields. It should be possible to define custom sorting behavior in combination with Margrid. Either by a more specific Sorter component or by modifying the Sorter component somehow.
The PostgreSQL manual describes the sorting expression as follows:
SELECT select_list
FROM table_expression
ORDER BY sort_expression1 [ASC | DESC] [NULLS { FIRST | LAST }]
[, sort_expression2 [ASC | DESC] [NULLS { FIRST | LAST }] ...]
For my use-case I'd like to always put NULL
values at the end. Meaning NULLS LAST
is used for both ascending and descending. For my use-case it doesn't need to be part of the params, just configuration I can use when instantiating the grid.
