It looks like 2.2 also has WebKit 533.1, so both Android 2.2 and 2.3 are detected as both 2.2. and 2.3. In practice tests are stored as being run by 2.2.

Android 2.3.7 uses WebKit 533.1 as well and get's still detected as Android 2.2 by swarm.

We probably need a more complex BrowserInfo parser. Maybe we can use third party library?

would the useragentstring.com API be sufficient?

Not really, we need a parser not an API. Making a request to a third party API for all clients in all TestSwarm installations seems a problem. Not a to mention the dependency on a third party service slowing down our side of things and what happens if that API is down or changes?

EDIT: I've contacted the person who owns useragentstring.com and asked if he is willing to open-source it, in which case we could run our own instance inside TestSwarm (and also help maintain it if we find bugs).

If it helps: If you visit swarm.jquery.org with android 2.3.7 and join the swarm, the frontpage from a different browser shows 2 Android 2.2 devices.
If you visit the frontpage with the android browser (after joining) it highlight both 2.2 and 2.3 with an orange background.

Do you use two different parsers in the code?
