Component level functions should not directly call for data, and instead be managed from where they are imported in the containers.

Also should create separate functions to pull data indirectly. To later better define optional back-end data services if needed.

This is holy unspeakable and should be shamed at every point in the future but I couldn't figure out a way to save things better.

Please someone solve the serialized JSON saves directly to the database. This is bad, dangerous, and all around a very shameful idea.
