not quiet sure why this happens yet but it is really annoying

pushing critical data to stdout in a shell that nobody will ever see probably isn't a great idea for usability

instead of passing the name "stupid dumb idiot argument" to every child process because i got mad at the exec() format, i should be giving them good christian names like james or paul or david or jacob or something like that

upon connection, the server will display the client's ip address to be either 0.0.0.0 or some mangling of the actual address
