Match whatever native Julia does. I think it's column major, but don't quote me on that.

BTW: Julia arrays are column major. I'll follow that convention here.

Yes. OpenGL is column-major by default. It's kind of funny, but that was the initial reason I even started to look at Julia. I had previously been using Go, but it's row-major (along with most other general purpose programming languages), which was somewhat frustrating. Stefan suggested I check out Julia, and I haven't looked back.

Beyond my needs, I generally think ImmutableArrays should strive to behave the same way as Julia's native arrays.
